At Brockmoor Primary School, we strive to provide an inclusive curriculum in line with the SEND Code of Practice (2015) and the Equalities Act (2010), where all children have the opportunity to reach their full potential and to develop as happy and successful individuals. We celebrate and value the diversity of our community and take into account every child’s individual needs and experiences in order to prepare them for life beyond primary school.
At Brockmoor, our ASPIRE values are at the heart of what we do. We actively celebrate the contribution of all individuals and groups within the school community and ensure that access and opportunities are equally available to everyone. Children with SEND are given equal opportunities and first-hand learning experiences to discover their own hidden talents, skills and new passions despite any barriers they may face.
We do not make assumptions about what our pupils can do. Instead we logically and coherently sequence the learning in a way that gives them the highest possible chance of securing that learning and being able to use it meaningfully as a springboard to becoming confident, knowledgeable thinkers.
We are raising the bar for ALL pupils and ensuring ALL have the necessary support and means to reach that bar. We maintain high aspirations for our pupils, whilst keeping in mind the structures and systems will need to be put into place to ensure every single pupils can engaged and access our ASPIRE curriculum.
